A lifelong entrepreneur, Elyse Eriksson has explored a wide range of business ventures. As the Managing Director of Export Connector, Ms. Eriksson brings together business experts to work with entrepreneurs to enter international markets.
During the majority of her career, Ms. Eriksson was the owner of two manufacturing companies specializing in concrete based products, Classic Cast Stone of Dallas and Slate Select, Inc. In the position of ownership, she guided the companies from start up to success handling all aspects of company business. She also served as the Director of Training at the International Trade Center-SmallBusiness Development Center in Dallas, Texas and has obtained the designation of C.G.B.P., Certified Global Business Professional.
Elyse has served on the board of Scandinavian American Economic Development Alliance and OWIT-DFW. In 2011, she was selected as one of the 250 finalists in the British Airways Face Of Opportunity contest and traveled to events in New York, London and Prague, courtesy of British Airways.
Ms. Eriksson attended the University of Texas, Austin, receiving a B.S. in design. She then received a Masters in Civic Affairs and an M.B.A. in International Management from the University of Dallas, Irving, Texas.
Patricia Moore, an international businesswoman, economist, author and consultant, grew up in Bogota, Colombia. As a diplomat, she represented her country in Norway and Iceland, before moving to the United States in 1991.
She contributes to the North Texas Small Business Development Center as a counselor to the North Texas Hispanic community associations, to the Trade Commissioners of the Latin American countries represented in Texas as well as to her own local and international clientele. Mrs. Moore serves as a consultant to the Group of Latin American Consuls in North Texas (GRULA) and has implemented GRULA’s strategic projects, focusing on promoting prosperity and economic opportunities to small and mid-size companies in North Texas with GRULA countries (Ecuador, El Salvador, Mexico, Paraguay and Peru). Patricia chaired in 2008 the summit, Doing Business in Latin America, a flagship program produced in partnership with the Greater Dallas Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and the International Trade Center, SBDC. As a mentor guest of the Office of Citizen Exchanges and the US Department of State, she recently visited Peru to take part in the final stage of the project “Creating Economic Growth to Fight Poverty and Strengthen Democracy: A Project for Young Peruvian Business Leaders”. She has also been a contributing columnist to American Airlines, NEXOS magazine.
Patricia serves a consultant in Latin American projects and as a trainer with The Riddle of the Exporter in English and Spanish.
